Dereham Town set up a Norfolk derby tie with Wroxham by beating visitors Leiston 3-1 in this FA Cup Preliminary Round tie at Aldiss Park, without injured skipper Graham Barrett and Nicky Howell.

The Magpies took the lead in the 14th minute after a Craig Terrington flag kick from the right was met by a Stuart Williams header which was parried by Leiston 'keeper Jamie Stannard to Adam Gusterson who controlled the ball and netted from close range. Leiston equalised in the 17th minute through Lee McGlone following a goalmouth scramble, although there appeared to be a handball by a Leiston player before the ball entered the net. Dereham regained the lead in the 36th minute when Danny Beaumont curled home a superb free-kick.

In the second period the home side continued to have the better of the play but the match was not made safe until the 80th minute when Danny Beaumont converted from the penalty-spot after Olly Willis had been up-ended in the box.
